20 Tools That Will Make You Better At Item Upgrading
World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade of an item lets players increase the gear rating of an item by up 700 points, and then add a final bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you bring them to the kiln.
Certain items can be upgraded to benefit from their unique stats (like perfect made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats like damage to attack, crit chance, PvE and damage from PvP. They also have a flat bonus which increases their damage per second. In addition some weapons come with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are present on a unit. This bonus can sometimes be greater than the damage that an upgrade alone can cause.
The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will increase until it needs more Smithing Stones. At item upgrading will reset to one.
The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. This is usually a good aspect, but it may also have negative effects. Upgrades can make items impossible to use, unless you are extremely lucky.
Armor items can also be upgraded to boost their effectiveness. In the case of chests or helms this will increase the defense of its base, while gloves and belts improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it may reroll down to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats it will gain when upgraded in addition to their respective values. This means that a change from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in a weapon receiving 33% attack damage. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will be hit for 3 times less often because it's an absolute statistic.
Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button within the item menu, using the arrows that are circling. This will roll an item and alter its stats but it will not reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.
Armor
A few tweaks to your armor can make a a huge difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets offer massive improvements in the resistance to curses, poisons and fire as well as magic. This can make it easier to navigate difficult areas. In general, the greater defense you have for your character, the greater health you will receive from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.
To improve your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game and to unlock them all, you must complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main side quest and completed the fountain that corresponds and then you can contact any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.
The amount of material needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. In general, you'll need at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the first upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, as an example can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which allows you to remain competitive in cold environments with a lot of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded to +20 defense to ensure you're able to survive a battle with friends.
Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll need to focus on upgrading it for physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. It is also recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still wear by the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
You can also unlock some perks for your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. In general, you should save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be useful to have a few upgrades of the chest armor and helmets to permit you to sneak past certain monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquid substances that, if consumed, give the user a temporary status effect. There are five types of potions, each with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.
Potion upgrades require a certain amount of XP. This can be obtained through crafting them on a table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades is dependent on the type of potion you want to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.
To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI that allows you to select the potions that you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll offer when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.
Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not degrade until you use it again, or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also rename the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.
There were some changes to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. For instance, splash potions now have the duration of 0:08 (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds displayed on the item hover display). The table for potion can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be combined in cauldrons. The same applies to the use of a potion in a cauldron that is full. This will drain the liquid, and then refill the bottle.
Finally, there are simmering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Similar to lingering potions, the' effect is extended by adding redstone to it. The table of potions is laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as the potion of leaping and the decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket can be described as a small and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It could be a reference to an object or decoration that serves a purpose but is not particularly significant, such as a trinket. In certain traditions, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, particularly between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets unlike other items which can be upgraded can be traded at will without losing stats.
Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.
Upgrading a trinket is a cost-effective alternative to purchasing new ones. A player can upgrade their trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl as the previous one, and will come with an additional 1% upgrade bonus.
Once the old Trinkets have become no longer usable, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value with time. They can be traded between players, making them an alternative to gold.
Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the best-in slot items for each class are upgraded first, followed by their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment they won't replace in the near future (such as rings or cloaks). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when choosing which items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player, then they should upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.
Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher ilvl after they're no longer needed and the new trinket will receive an additional 1% upgrade bonus. Re-upgrading will destroy the trinket unless it can be salvaged using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades but still less expensive than purchasing a new one.
